What is AI and UCSF AI4ALL?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science that allows computers to make predictions and decisions, solve problems, and perform tasks. It's a technology that's rapidly changing the world and has impact across all disciplines and industries.

The solution starts with education — that's where UCSF AI4ALL comes in. During the summer, UCSF and AI4ALL are partnering to teach AI to high school students, focusing on AI for biomedical applications. The program will involve hands-on experience with AI, hearing from role models in AI, and learning about how AI can be used to advance health. Students will come away from the camp knowing how AI can be used to advance biology and clinical practice, how to carry out research in this field and what kinds of careers exist at the intersection of AI and biomedicine.
